Renewal of Love: 

You cannot ask for a more beautiful setting. Our Maldives renewal of vows ceremony can range from a simple service at the beach to an elegant one at the island’s sandbank or a more traditional and elaborate setting at the “chapel of love” set over the lagoon. Kuramathi, a most romantic getaway in Maldives, offers different packages to suit you. The choice is yours and once it is made, the rest is left to the islanders of Kuramathi whilst you relax and pamper yourselves in anticipation for the big day.

Diving:

One school is located in the middle of the island and the second near the arrival jetty between the Bio Station and Medical Centre. Guests are welcome to use either or both schools to suit their preference or schedule and can therefore benefit from a wider choice of programs and dive sites on any given day. In addition, having the two locations means that we have the opportunity to get to know you better so we can ensure you have a great time diving here!
We mainly use Scubapro dive equipment while our compressors are Bauer and NRC for nitrox. The diving boats are comfortable, spacious, 15 meter, purpose – built, modern, fiberglass diving dhonis with freshwater shower and toilet onboard. They are also fast which allows us to access many great dive sites in neighbouring Ari atoll. All boats are equipped for safety and feature DAN twin cylinder oxygen kits and DAN Guardian first aid kits.

Kuramathi stands out amongst Maldives family resorts with its dedication to providing an exciting holiday for the entire family. Bageecha is the Dhivehi name for garden or park. This Bageecha is built especially for our younger guests. We invite you to take part in our exciting and fun adventures, whilst allowing your parents to have a relaxing time at Kuramathi. Come and discover the joys of our fun filled voyages onboard Bageecha.

Eco Centre:
The Eco Centre operates all year long and it plays a most important role in providing our guests information with regards to our environment. It ensures that guests are aware of the correct snorkelling do’s and don’ts, offers guided snorkelling safaris and provides detailed information about this fascinating underwater world through visual presentations.
Additionally, the Marine Biology unit within the Eco Centre conducts coral reef research, monitors the sea water temperatures and maintains a coral nursery. Specific marine education presentations are done for children through Bageecha. The Eco Centre also works closely with the local school on the neighbouring inhabited island, Rasdhoo, in promoting environmental awareness and initiatives.

Medical Centre:
Kuramathi Medical Centre is one of the best equipped facility in this area, and features the largest hyperbaric (decompression) chamber in the Maldives. It is equipped to handle major diving accidents or other emergencies. The Medical Centre also features modern diagnostic devices for carrying out ECG, X-rays, blood analyses and audiometry, and includes a small ward with two beds. Two European doctors, a Diving Medical Officer and a General Practitioner, are employed year round.

All major credit cards are accepted, 24 hour Reception, Foreign Currency Exchange, Multilingual staff, Laundry Service, Library offering books, DVDs and music CDs, Wi-fi Internet Access.

Aqua Sports and Fun
Jump in and join us for some fun and adventure in the deep turquoise lagoon of Kuramathi. We have water sports to suit everyone’s needs from serene cruises on a catamaran to an exhilarating wake boarding session. You can take part in a wide range of non-motorised water sports including windsurfing, catamaran sailing or kayaking. For something more thrilling, you can try water skiing, banana rides or fun tubes.

Windsurfing and catamaran sailing lessons are available for all levels. For youngsters who want to start early, we offer windsurf lessons for children of 8 years and above.Aqua Sports & Fun also offers a variety of individual excursions on a catamaran or aboard a traditional Maldivian Dhoni or motorboat.It is a VDWS certified school. Our qualified instructors can speak English and German.

Excursions
A full range of excursions are available including Island Hopping, Snorkelling Safari, Visit to Local Island Rasdhoo, Sunset Cruise, Coral Romance and Big Game Fishing. Kuramathi fully supports ‘tag and release’ policies in Big Game Fishing. We are also one of very few resorts which do not offer Night Fishing as an excursion. We take pride in our decision and our part to protect our pristine surroundings.

Evening Entertainment
Regular evening entertainment is available including nights of Karaoke, moonlit DJs and discos. If you prefer something mellow, spend an evening listening to the tunes of our unplugged duo, or watch a favourite movie under the stars.
 
Bageecha Activities
Every day at Bageecha is a fun day filled with an exciting two week schedule. Every morning, kids will get to play in the water, either at the beach or at the pool. In the afternoon, activities listed for the day are organised every other week. Do note that depending on the number of children on the island, the activities are subject to change.

The Sports Centre
At Kuramathi we've come up with a host of options to keep you occupied.
Facilities at the Sports Centre include:
Freshwater Infinity Swimming Pool, Freshwater Swimming Pool, Children’s Pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Gymnasium, Floodlit Tennis Court.

In addition to the three main restaurants where international buffets are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Kuramathi offers six � la carte restaurants offering a range of cuisine to suit all palates. For something more romantic, why not book a dinner for two at our Serenade pavilion or enjoy a sumptuous picnic hamper at a location of your choice. Six bars around the island serve classical and tropical cocktails. Depending on your mood, choose to watch stingray feedings, listen to mellow sounds of our two-piece band or while away the day sipping flavourful concoctions. Be spoilt for choice.For ultimate peace of mind, you can choose to go all inclusive. Kuramathi is one the few Maldives all inclusive resorts which offers two different types of all inclusive packages, designed to cater to your needs.

Haruge, Malaafaiy, Farivalhu: 
Located in different parts of the island, all main restaurants offer breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. Breakfast is continental with a wide selection cereal, fresh pastries and breads, fresh fruits, juices, and a live cooking station offering eggs, waffles and pancakes prepared to your liking. Lunch is a light affair, featuring a variety of salads and sandwiches, whilst themed buffets from all around the world are offered for dinner.

Island Coffee Shop:
Offering views of our infinity pool, Island Coffee Shop is an all day dining option featuring a diverse International menu and a special selection of local curries.

Siam Garden:
Situated amidst the luxuriant vegetation of Kuramathi, Siam Garden offers guests an authentic experience, with a wide menu offering the distinct flavourful dishes from the four regions of Thailand. The menu includes a wide variety of seafood, fish, vegetarian, beef and chicken dishes as well as delicious Thai fresh fruits, desserts and Asian herbal teas. Siam Garden is open every evening for dinner and once a week hosts a ‘Discover Thai Food’ buffet.

Tandoor Mahal:
Surrounded by the lush gardens, Tandoor Mahal offers guests the chance to experience traditional Tandoori cooking with some delicious curries, rice, Biriyani and an assortment of Indian breads. Tandoor Mahal is open for dinner every night and features a ‘Discover Indian Food’ buffet once a week.

The Reef:
An intimate restaurant, situated on the beach along the narrow stretch of the island, The Reef is our signature seafood restaurant. It offers guests fresh catch from the Maldivian waters and quality seafood imported from abroad. Your choice of dinner is prepared right in front of you, just the way you like it.

Palm Pizzeria and Gelateria:
Palm offers traditional Italian pizza with crispy thin crusts, a wide selection of pastas and fresh salads, and for dessert, homemade ice cream, both classical and tropical flavours. Come evening, the Palm offers a contemporary menu of Mediterranean food, wine, culture and ‘joie de vivre’.

Island Barbeque:
Select high quality meats are cooked to your desires, complemented with traditional barbeque side dishes and matured fine wines. Set right on the beach, with views out to the sea and the infinity pool, this chic restaurant also offers a selection of island grown organic food.

Private Dining Experience:
To celebrate your anniversary or to toast to your new-found love, for the ultimate romantic gesture or to even ask ‘the question’, why not try the island’s private dining experiences? It provides the perfect setting. Lobster Dinner – a five-course set dinner on the water’s edge with the powdery soft sand under your feet and the soothing sounds of the waves coming to shore. Serenade Dinner – set over the lagoon under a pavilion on the Serenade Jetty, just for the two of you. Surrounded by the water, this is a romantic culinary journey of five courses not to be missed. Romance Dinner – a candlelit four-course dinner set in a secluded corner of the beach. Celebrate Romance. Revel in each other’s company whilst we bring your dreams to life.

Bars:
Six bars around the island offer delicious cocktails, day and night and many offer evening entertainment. During the Happy Hour from 18:00 to 20:00hrs, discount on all cocktails are also offered.

-Fung Bar: An ideal location to chill out and enjoy fabulous cocktails any time of the day. Fung Bar also offers open-air disco for the enthusiastic dancers. Located directly on the beach, Fung Bar is open from 09:00hrs until the last guest leaves the bar in the evening.

-Dhoni Bar: Dhoni Bar is a perfect place to relax whilst enjoying panoramic views across the dazzling waters of the lagoon.

-Laguna Bar: An intimate bar, situated at the far end of the island where you can relax on the outdoor decks whist enjoying a refreshing drink. Watch stingray feedings as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean. Laguna Bar is open from 09:00hrs till the departure of the last guest.

-Havana Club: This elegantly appointed bar offers an eclectic selection of wines from around the globe, as well as the finest of international cigars in a cool setting. It is an ideal location for an aperitif or a late evening get together. A selection of delicious nibbles is available to complement your wine selection. For those who wish to feel like a star for a night, Karaoke is available.

-Pool Bar: For an ice cold drink to sip as you unwind by the pool or after a hard workout at the gym, the pool bar offers a range of thirst-quenching and refreshing drinks and is open from 09:00 to 20:00hrs.

-Sand Bar: Just steps away from the beach, this sand floored bar offers a relaxed and casual atmosphere, with comfy bean bags as your seats. Stargaze whilst savouring your favourite cocktail. The Sand Bar is open from 20:00 to 00:00hrs.
