Yoga:
Yoga literally means "union" or "to yoke." Union refers to the goal of balancing mind, body and spirit through a series of physical, mental and breathing exercises. Yoga concentrates on body postures (asanas) and movements in combination with controlled breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation. It is an excellent way to de-stress as it encourages inner peace, balance and clarity of mind, while bringing flexibility and strength to the body.

Meditation:
This ancient form of structured breathing techniques coupled with prescribed body postures derives from the Indian word for “union”, the union between one`s individual consciousness and the universal consciousness or between the body and mind.

Meditation is an integral part of many yoga techniques, but can also be used as a separate way to enhance the inner sense of well-being. Kids Club:
Children are VIPs at the Waldorf Astoria Kids' Club. Their own little paradise has a private pool, games room, a bungee trampoline for  older children and adults and an extensive tailor-made programme of activities for their entertainement. Fun and discovery never end.

Recreation Centre:
A fully equipped gym, comfortable lounge, library, state-of-the-art home entertainment system for movies and karaoke, Wii and Playstation games, pool table and virtual golf simulator are all put together in one place to provide hours of fun and relaxation throughout your stay.

Bungee Trampoline:

WATER ACTIVITIES:

Swimming Pools:
The resort’s three swimming pools, with their different settings, are ideal spots for relaxing throughout the day – in a lush tropical environment or surrounded by turquoise waters and white powdery sands or in the Kids'Club.

Water Sports:
The Beach House Maldives VDWS certified water sports school, offers complimentary non-motorized water sports, including windsurfing, canoeing and sailing on catamarans. Qualified instructors provide essential guidance and refresher courses.

Diving and Snorkeling:
With the guidance of an experienced PADI dive team (PADI Golden Palm 5 star facility), explore some of the most exquisite dive sites and marine life under the unchartered waters of the Haa Alifu atoll. Comprehensive diving courses are offered for all diving levels. All diving activities are chargeable. Since January the 1st, 2011, Sun International Diving School offers to its repeater divers a 10% discount on dives only. Each guest is provided with a complimentary set of snorkeling equipment to explore the nearby reef and marine gardens.

Deep Sea Fishing:
The waters around the Maldives offer some of the world’s best deep-sea fishing grounds. Whether on a traditional 'dhoni' or fully equipped fishing boat, this sport is an exhilarating experience. The best time for fishing is usually during the monsoon seasons.

EXCURSIONS:
Excursions are offered both on a Maldivian Dhoni and a speedboat, featuring cultural visits to local inhabited islands, traditional Maldivian hand-line fishing and snorkelling trips.

-Dolphin Cruise:The Maldives is among the top destinations in the world for dolphin watching. Spinner dolphins are the most common in these waters and regularly feed offshore at night, come into the atolls in the early morning and return to the open ocean in the late afternoon before sunset. While nothing with wildlife can be absolutely guaranteed, this is still a unique opportunity to watch dolphins playing in their natural environment.

-Big Game Fishing:Get ready for the fishing trip of a lifetime. Catch fish that you have only dreamed of, including Sailfish, Wahoo, Yellow Fin Tuna and Marlin.

-Castaway Escape:A unique opportunity for a real castaway experience on a deserted island. Our crew will drop you on an uninhabited island located 10 minutes away from the resort, where you can spend your day snorkelling and sunbathing.
