-Hideaway Water Sports
in addition to the 750 cubic metre Infinity Swimming Pool facing the Indian Ocean, 32 metres in length and 22 metres in width, with attached Jacuzzi and children’s pool as well as poolside service, The Island Hideaway has also made sure that all other forms of water sports are catered for – from speedboat trips to catamaran sailing to water skiing, snorkeling, windsurfing, canoeing and wakeboarding. And those wanting to experience a bit of local colour can sail out on a traditional Maldivian dhoni boat or their own yacht to one of the nearby inhabited islands.

-Tennis, Fitness Suite, Beach Volleyball, Bicycle Riding and Silat
the more sporting- minded can enjoy a game of tennis, volleyball on the sand, jog along the beach, bicycle along the hidden trails, or work-out at our Sports Complex. For the early birds, a refreshing session of silat is “just what the doctor ordered”.

-Sunset, Sunrise, Night and Big-game fishing
Sunset, Sunrise, Night and Big-game fishing – fishing is one of the mainstays of subsistence for the Maldivian people, who have mastered it to an art. Our guests are able to participate in sunset or night fishing on a traditional Maldivian dhoni fishing boat, big game fishing and also go on fishing expeditions with fishermen from the local islands and experience for themselves first-hand as to what proper eco-friendly fishing entails. Our expert chefs will thereafter prepare the catches made by the guests in whatever manner they desire, including beach barbecues.

-Cultural Excursions
we arrange excursions for our guests to significant sites of Maldivian heritage and culture on nearby islands. One of the most important sites is the Utheemu Palace situated on Utheemu Island, home of the Maldivian national hero Muhammad Thakurufaanu or BoduThakurufaanu and his two brothers who saved the Maldives from the Portuguese in 1573 AD.

Meeru Bar:
Those wanting to while away the evening to exotic drinks and snacks will find the Meeru Bar the perfect place. Our Meeru Bar, situated on the beach, has a unique design in that the roof structure is like the inside of a boat’s hull and the deck area extends over water giving fantastic sunset views. We attach a great deal of importance to the quality of our produce. All our produce comes from the very best sources and fresh fish is caught locally and delivered to the island on a daily basis.
